Architectural Design and Construction
We believe in a blend of modern and traditional architectural designs. In arid areas, like Afghanistan, many methods have devised over hundreds years to make use of limited space to create a beautiful place with low energy consumption. For instance, in Kandahar and Herat, many old houses are installed with wind catchers. Wind catcher has proved to be an effective elements of cooling. However, over years, use of this element in buildings has slid into oblivion. Our main goal in architectural designing is to revive such effective forgotten elements.
Furthermore, the technological development, has provided architectures with many new materials and methods which can be effectively used in the design of constructions with lower energy consumption and more resistance to earthquake. For example, Double-skin façades can reduce energy used for heating. Straw bale walls is another innovative method of using available cheap material for heating insulation. Suffice to say, our architectural team is committed to using latest methods of constructing modern buildings.
